</strong></em></p>
<p>For Hypnotherapy and or Hypnosis to be affective, there must be some Imagery and or Visualization taking place in your mind.  Visualization is the seeing of an activity in the mind but Imagery is experiencing the activity in the mind with all, most or some of the senses involved – actually doing it, as if being part of it.</p>
<p>Imagery is a right brain activity which means it is a creative process verses the left brain which is the analytical side.  Imagery is a flexible approach that strengthens the Nero Pathways, the brain responders, so by using Guided Imagery one can practice in the mind seeing and doing what one wants to be, change or accomplished.</p>
<p><strong>Here is an example of a Guided Imagery used during Hypnotherapy:</strong></p>
<p>First, sit in a comfortable position and start to get relaxed by taking three deep long breaths and then three more, keep focusing on your breathing, until you feel more relaxed.  Continue breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth, each breath brings peace and calm as you breathe out old used energy that you no longer need.</p>
<p>Now, with your eyes closed, start to visualize and or imagine in your mind that you have arrived at your favorite place in the world.  This could be any place that is safe, calm, relaxing and beautiful – you decide where it is – or create it now.</p>
<p>It could be a place you have been before or a place that you want to visit or where you are right now – you decide.</p>
<p>Now, be there as you begin to feel the breeze, the air, as you smell the smells and hear all of the sounds around you.</p>
<p>What colors do you see, who is there with you, what animals or beings do you see or are you alone? – you decide.</p>
<p>What does the ground feel like, the air the water the trees, are there any trees, mountains, valleys or are you inside?</p>
<p>Now, what do you feel – the positive feelings inside your body?  Calm, relaxed, happy, free, joyous, peaceful, creative, focused, powerful, out of your body…</p>
<p>Keep feeling the positive aspects while staying in this place – enjoy this brief time of solitude as your continue to be good to yourself.</p>
<p>Be aware of your breathing as you continue to take deep long breaths into you belly and exhale slowly as your mind continues to drift.</p>
<p>Enjoy this time as long as you possibly can with each deliberate, slow wonderful and powerful breath to the next one (take time here to just sit and become even more relaxed as you let your mind wonder from one wonderful thought to the next).</p>
<p>Continue to be in this place of peace and harmony as you begin to see and know that you can make anything happen that you wish, you are in control here and you can work on anything that you would like to change for the better, right now.</p>
<p>See what it is that you have been wanting to change, what is it that you desire to make better in your life, right now ?  See yourself doing it and having the things that you know you deserve and allow yourself to have these wonderful things that you have been wanting and wishing for.  See yourself doing these things and having these things and enjoying the benefits of these positive changes that you desire.</p>
<p>Feel the change and allow the changes to continue to happen as you thank yourself for giving this opportunity a chance to happen so quickly &#8211; a chance to have those things that you know are yours to enjoy.  They have been there inside you just waiting to be release and now, you are allowing them to happen and be real.</p>
<p>Alright, as you see how wonderful you are, you also know how powerful and how in control you have the ability to be &#8211; Now, as you continue to deep breath, start to bring your awareness back to this place where you are in your body at this time and bring yourself here and now back to the present.</p>
<p>Begin to open your eyes and feel your body where you are and count up from 0 to 5 – 0,1,2,3,4, and 5 eyes open wide awake. 1,2,3,4,5 eyes open wide awake.  Now, continue to enjoy this peace and calm as you go through your day and remember that you are the one that allows things to happen in your life the way that you wish them to be.  So, wish for great wonderful things to happen, always -</p>

<p>Even though, we really do want love and we do want to be happy sometimes, we do things subconsciously that block it from happening.  This is not something that we do on purpose and since, it is occurring in the subconscious part of the mind, many of us are not even aware that it is going on.  The subconscious part of the mind is where we store our beliefs that are based on things and events that have happened in the past.  These past things and events become what we know and believe to be the real truth about our life. </p>
<p>So, this is why we may be blocking things from occurring in our life now, based on past events that where negative.  If we do not want to get hurt again, we fear rejection or if we do not want to end up stuck in another smoothing relationship, we fear commitment and sometimes we end up thinking that we just do not deserve to be happy. </p>
<p>These beliefs in our subconscious, can block love from happening and then, when it does arrive, we do not know how to allow it to happen.  But the good news is that these old past beliefs can be changed and unblocked through, guided imagery and visualization allowing you to start having what you really want. </p>
<p>For the past four years, I have specialized in relationship improvement and now, more than ever, I see that people are searching for the one and or their soul mate, that one person who will complete them.  The motivative phone techniques that I use work and they can help you to change your thinking to be able to start attracting the love of your life now.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<img style='float: left; margin-right: 10px; border: none;' src='http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=e77b180292b37278683898d7fdf66a2b&amp;default=http://use.perl.org/images/pix.gif' alt='No Gravatar' width=40 height=40/><p>Throughout the last six weeks, I have been blogging about some of the things that I know best about <strong> &#8211; Stress </strong><strong>Release</strong> and <strong>Change</strong> for the <strong>Better. </strong></p>
<p>Stress is one thing that I have lots of experience dealing with and I actually use to think stress was a good thing &#8211; having stress and drama kept me going and busy during my early 20&#8217;s and 30&#8217;s.  To me, it was cool to be so busy that you did not even have time for yourself &#8211; just do and do, go and go and stay busy, no matter way.</p>
<p>Of course, when we are are younger, it is more natural to be this way &#8211; work hard and play harder but when you don&#8217;t have some balance, you do end up paying for it.  We see it all the time, with busy people that eventually burn out and get so sick, it forces them to take a break and then, they have to make some big changes in their Life.</p>
<p>Eight and a half years ago, this is what happened to me, all the stress that had been building over the years, finally made me so sick, I ended up in the emergency room in tremendous pain with lots of fear.  It took several of the ten days, I was in the Hospital, for the doctors to even figure out what was wrong and then, more days to decide what they where going to do about my situation.</p>
<p>Since, I was not able to sleep much, the whole time there, I had lots of time to think while taking somewhat of a break from everyday life.  This was a much needed break that I had been forced to take and it was not a fun one, as you might imagine.  But more than anything, I just knew, I was going to be alright and get through it so, I could make some really big changes in my Life.</p>
<p>As long as I can remember, I had always been into being healthy and staying fit and up to this point, I had never really ever been sick but, at the same time, I was unaware of the effects that stress can have on the body, mind, soul and spirit.</p>
<p>So, through this illness and the surgery that made me better, I was forced to learn the hard way by enduring a lot of pain and suffering in the hospital and through five months of recovery.</p>
<p>While in the hospital, I ended up having to take some really strong drugs that made me even more sick but the one that I was most thankful for, was morphine &#8211; that drug is quite amazing and works wonders for pain.  Now, I understand how, if taken too long and not regulated, that drug can be so very addictive.  It was a rather strange process, after leaving the hospital and coming off of it and it got a bit scary one night, when I thought I had bugs crawling up my sleeves.</p>
<p>So, this whole, life altering, experience started me on my journey to get as much Stress out of my Life as possible.  I went through years of trying different alternative methods and many things worked well but nothing and I mean nothing, has worked as quickly, easily and efficiently as Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.</p>
<p>When I started going to school to become a Hypnotherapist, my Life began to change in big leaps and huge bounds.  As I first started working on my self and then, others &#8211; I got the chance to experience, with all of my senses, (and some new senses that I learned how to use) the effects that this amazing modality has to offer.</p>

<p>They say most everybody does dream when they sleep &#8211; Are you able to remember your dreams ?</p>
<p>Did you know that when you Sleep Better, you are not only able to remember your dreams Better but you are also, able to go through the full stages of dreaming.  There are three stages and all of them are important in the process of changing your issues in your life to the Better.</p>
<p>When you sleep, you go through three or four Sleeping cycles and REM (Rapid Eye Movement) is the time during those stages when we are dreaming.  During REM you are also, able to experience these three very important Stages of Dreaming.</p>
<p>Now, if you have a hard time remembering your dreams, not to worry &#8211; they still are probably happening and still are having a powerful and beneficial effect subconsciously on the changes happening in your Life.</p>
<p><strong>The First Stage of Dreaming </strong>, the least important is the Wishful Thinking Stage, where you work on making the things happen in your Life that you are desiring to happen.</p>
<p><strong>The Second Stage,</strong> is the Precognitive Stage, where you dream of things you think might happen or that you predict or feel might happen in your Life.  It is also, the problem solving stage where you are sorting out things in your Life.</p>
<p><strong>The Third Stage, </strong>and most important, is the Venting Stage where you are able to vent out those things that you no longer need in your Life.  Since, it is the last stage, it contains the dreams that you remember the most.  So, if you wake up in the morning and remember having some nightmares, it really is a good thing since, you were probably working on letting go of the energy and feelings that the nightmare represented.</p>
<p>When you are able to remember you dreams better, you can also, understand the significance of them better by analyzing them using Dream Therapy.  Most everything in your dreams either has a Literal meaning or a Symbolic meaning and Dream Therapy can break down the content of your dreams in relation to what is going on in your Life.</p>
<p>So, first of all for Dream Therapy to work, of course, you have to be able to remember some of your dreams and as stated above, Sleeping better will help you remember your Dreams better and one of the best things that helps with both Sleeping and Dreaming better, is Hypnotherapy.  </p>
<p>Since, Hypnotherapy instantly allows you to release more stress, you are able to rest better, the less stress you have in your Life, the better you Sleep.  Also, during a  Hynotherapy session we are able to reinforce the Venting process that happens in the third stage of dreaming.  This is done, by giving you reinforcement suggestions that you will be able to fall sleep faster and sleep through the night and be able to Vent out those things that you no longer need in your last Stage of Dreaming.</p>
<p>To analysis a Dream, you ask yourself Questions about your Dream:</p>
<p>1.  What stage did the dream occur ?<br />
2.  Was it Psychological or Physiological ?<br />
3.  What is the Timing &#8211; Past, Present or Future ?<br />
4.  Go over the Content that you remember by Separating the Literal from the Symbolic: </p>
<p>Here is where you can make a split chat on paper to separate the Literal Content from the Symbolic content.  The Literal, on the left side, is the content that is a given or the obvious things in your life.  Like if you had a dream about your dog and you have a dog, that would be literal and if you don&#8217;t have a dog &#8211; the dog, in you dream would be symbolic &#8211; meaning that it presents something different in your Life.  Then, write the symbolic content on the right side.</p>
<p>After you do the list, you ask yourself questions about the literal meaning and the symbolic meaning and how they relate to each other.  If you have a dream about using a gun and you do not have a gun, then, that gun could represent control over someone or something.  </p>
<p>Now, using the content, the meanings and your own intuition into the meanings &#8211; start to build a story about what your dream is telling you. </p>
<p>Keep going and ask yourself the rest of these questions below:</p>
<p>5.  What are your emotions and feelings that you have about your dream ?<br />
6.  Start saying your dream back to yourself &#8211; where you venting out stuff that you no longer need to deal with ?<br />
7.  Now, think about what triggered your dream &#8211; what happened in your Life, that was like this Dream ? </p>
<p>Remembering, your Dreams and analysis them is good therapy that can really enhance the positive changes that are happening in your Life.  I love to Dream and that is one of the reasons, I enjoy Sleeping so much -</p>

<p>Isn&#8217;t is Great when you get a really <strong>good night&#8217;s sleep</strong> where you sleep through the whole night, waking up feeling rested, ready to take on the day ahead ?  There are those who have experienced this and know how wonderful it can be and many of those people, would like it to happen more consistently.  Then, there many others that don&#8217;t even know what it would be like to have this happen in their Life.</p>
<p><strong>Sleeping</strong> is one of the Most Important things that we do that affects our whole mind and body.  It can change your entire Life when you are able to fall asleep faster and sleep through the night and then, when you are able to remember some of your dreams, that is an added bonus.</p>
<p>Yes, we know being able to sleep better is very important and beneficial for us but the most important things that it affects are &#8211; The Immune system, The Nervous system, Brain Cell Repair and Hormone Release:</p>
<p><strong>The Immune System</strong> &#8211; &#8220;Sleep is essential to the immune system.  Without adequate sleep, the immune system becomes weak, and the body becomes more vulnerable to infection and disease.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Nervous System </strong>- &#8220;Sleep is also a time of rest and repair to neurons.  Neurons are the freeways of the nervous system that carry out both voluntary commands, like moving your arm, and involuntary commands, like breathing and digestive processes.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Brain cellular repair</strong>, replenishment and growth &#8211; &#8220;Recent studies have suggested that sleep downtime of the brain, so active during the day, may replenish dwindling energy stores that cells need to function, repair cellular damage caused by our busy metabolism, and even grow new nerve cells in the brain.&#8221;<br />

<p>Hormone Release &#8211; &#8220;Many hormones, substances produced to trigger or regulate particular body functions, are timed to release during sleep or right before sleep.  Growth hormones, for example, are released during sleep, vital to growing children but also for restorative processes like muscle repair.&#8221;</p>

<p>Also, something that I learned a while back, is that Rest and Sleeping reduces the Stress Hormone, Cortisol and having lower levels of Cortisol in your body, is very important for fat loss.<br />

<p>&#8220;Cortisol controls our appetite, often making us feel hungry even when we have eaten enough.  It also raises blood sugar and insulin levels and results in increased fat deposition around the abdomen.  To further complicate the situation, high cortisol can negatively affect our sleep patterns, making it difficult to fall or stay asleep when we finally do go to bed.  This increase in stress hormone also has detrimental effects on other aspects of our endocrine system, like thyroid gland function which governs our metabolism.&#8221;</p>
<p>So, are you getting enough Sleep ?  </p>
<p>&#8220;Sleep deprivation occurs when you are not sleeping the right amount for your individual needs.  Sometimes sleep deprivation is short term, like a college student pulling an all nighter.  Chronic sleep deprivation often occurs in professions who work long hours, caregivers with multiple responsibilities, a concurrent sleep disorder or another disease that interferes with sleep.  If you are falling asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow, regularly need an alarm clock to wake up, or feel the need for frequent naps during the day, it is very likely you are sleep deprived.&#8221;</p>
<p>Other signs you may be suffering from sleep deprivation include:</p>
<p> &#8211; difficulty waking up in the morning<br />
 &#8211; poor performance in school, on the job, or in sports<br />
 &#8211; increased clumsiness<br />

 &#8211; falling asleep during work or class<br />
 &#8211; feeling especially moody or irritated</p>
<p>&#8220;Sleep deprivation can be dangerous not only to you but others, since it affects motor skills like driving.  Chronic  sleep deprivation is also thought to cause long term changes to the body, which contribute to increased risk or      obesity, diabetes and heart disease.&#8221;</p>

<p>Also, what you are sleeping on is very important and it is true what they say about getting a new mattress after 8-10 years.  I know this from first hand experience, we recently got a new bed and it has made such a difference in the way my body and mind feelings in the morning.  We didn&#8217;t even realize how bad the old mattress had gotten until we slept on the new mattress the first few nights.  It was amazing how much better the new bed felt to sleep on, it felt like heaven compared to our old mattress.  Also, my whole bedroom feels better, with the old energy of the old mattress gone, even the sound of the silence is Better.   </p>
<p>When you Sleep Better, your whole Life gets Better and also, you start to remember more of your Dreams which helps you understand how your individual dreams are symbolic to the Changes going on in your Life.</p>

I do hope so, You are The Most Important person in your own Life, You really are, and the more you are there for yourself, the Better you can be there for those other important people in your Life.  </p>
<p>One of the biggest concerns that I hear from some of my clients and others is that they are too busy to <strong>even </strong>make time, to take more time for themselves.  Many people are overwhelmed with the activities in their life but we have to remember that, these activities are from our own creation &#8211; we had a lot to do with making them happen.  We had the power to create them, therefore, we have the power to make them easier to deal with.  </p>
<p>So, what do you think?  Is it time to take your power back from those activities so, you can have more control over how they happen in our Life?  </p>
<p>Maybe, so &#8211; you are the one that does know the answers to all of your questions, they are there within you and that is why I want you to become Your own Most Important Person so, you can <strong>Release more Stress</strong> to find those answers and be able to hear them more consistently. </p>
<p>In my last blog post, I talked about the <strong>Movie, Avatar</strong> and how we can create our own type of <strong>Pandora</strong> feeling right Here on<strong> Earth </strong>- it is a long post <em>(which you can read in two parts) </em>but it ended with a simple suggestion about how to take that first step in taking more time for yourself.  It is something that we do already and have been doing since, birth &#8211; but not all of us do it in the best way.
